Tomas Gorny was born and raised in Poland, and moved to the United States at the age of 17 without knowing any English. Today he’s a technology visionary, founder and CEO of Unitedweb, Nextiva, Sitelock, and on the board of directors for Endurance International Group (Nasdaq: EIGI).
In 2001 he founded IPOWER, a website hosting company. By 2003 IPOWER was the fastest growing website hosting provider in the United States, and in 2007 it merged with Endurance, a smaller competitor. In 2013 the company went public, and Tomas remains on the board of directors.
In 2006, Tomas co-founded Nextiva, a cloud communications company based in Scottsdale, Arizona that is pioneering new technologies and redefining how businesses communicate. Nextiva currently serves over 150,000 businesses across the United States.
In 2008, Tomas founded IBS, also known as Sitelock, a website protection company that has established an entirely new market category. Today, Sitelock, also based in Scottsdale, protects millions of websites and is the largest website security company in the world.
In 2014, Nextiva was named the fastest growing telecommunications company in North America and the fastest growing tech company in Arizona by Deloitte. In 2015, Sitelock took Nextiva's place as the fastest growing tech company in Arizona, with Nextiva coming in second.
Tomas has received numerous awards for his leadership in the technology industry nationwide. In 2014 he was recognized by the Arizona Technical Counsel and the Governors Celebration of Innovation with the Ed Denison "Business Leader of the Year" Award, and in 2017, he was named Top Tech CEO by AZ Top Tech Exec Awards.
